Current Research

Dr. Van Tuyl's research focuses on pharmacologic therapy in structure heart disease, acute heart failure, and mechanical circulatory support. His ongoing research includes an evaluation of the effect of bariatric surgery on the effectiveness of medications for secondary prevention of coronary artery disease and an assessment of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone antagonists on cardiac reverse remodeling after transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
